Standard hourly rate plus materials. No callout fee within our standard service area. Rate confirmed on the phone before we book.

Weekend & public holidays

Sat, Sun & NZ public holidays

Higher callout fee than weeknight rate, plus a premium hourly rate. Confirmed on the phone before we dispatch, priority for commercial refrigeration and tenanted properties.

Where we dispatch from

Dispatch is from our Richmond depot. Standard after-hours coverage: Richmond, Nelson, Stoke, Wakefield, Brightwater, Mapua, and Motueka.

Outside that radius, Murchison, Golden Bay, Marlborough, we still take your call. Expect a higher travel component and longer response time.

Yes. We run a live-answer 24/7 line. Whether it's Tuesday lunchtime or 3am on a Sunday, you'll reach a person who can quote the callout fee and dispatch a sparky.

What's a typical after-hours call cost?

Fees vary depending on when you call and where we're dispatching from. Every callout starts with a phone conversation where we quote the callout fee, travel, and hourly rate upfront, before we leave the depot.

Do you cover commercial refrigeration?

Yes, cool-stores, chillers, and refrigeration units are a common after-hours callout, especially for hospitality, dairy, and horticulture clients. We prioritise these because of stock-loss risk.

What if it's not actually urgent, can I still call?

Absolutely. If you're not sure whether something needs an after-hours callout, ring us and we'll talk it through. If it can safely wait until the next business day, we'll tell you, and book you in without charging a callout.

Do you service the whole Tasman region?

Richmond, Nelson, Stoke, Wakefield, Brightwater, Mapua, and Motueka are standard coverage. We cover further afield (Murchison, Golden Bay, Marlborough) with a travel fee, ask when you call.
